In March 2024, buyers in Austria also paid €313/t for 6 t of loose pellets. After that, the price fell below the €300-mark. In the summer, it reached the lowest level of 2024, i.e. €285/t.
Compared to January, the Austrian pellet price increased by 5%. Year on year, however, it fell by 5%. Bagged pellets cost €5.22 per 15-kg bag in February and thus 4% more than in January. Loose pellets for commercial use (17 t) cost €269.7/t in February. Here, too, a month-on-month decrease of 5% and a year-on-year increase of 5% are recorded.
The pellet price index PPI06 is at 175.95 in February. The average fee for blowing in wood pellets is €49.04.
