In July, the Austrian pellet price increased by 20% compared to the previous month and nearly doubled compared to last year.

At €440.3/t (purchase of 6 t, loose, A1 quality), the Austrian pellet price increased by 19.9% compared to June and by 97.8% compared to July 2021. This is according to proPellets Austria, which reports a price of €380.2/t for loose wood pellets (17 t, industrial quantities). Month on month, this corresponds to a 22.8% increase, while the price rose by 97.8% and thus nearly doubled compared to July 2021. A1 pellets in 15-kg bags cost €7.18 per bag in July.

The pellet price index PPI06 is at 257.66 points. The blown delivery fee is €445.7/t on average. Heating oil costs 75.3% more than wood pellets, while natural gas is 0.2% more expensive.
