German pellet price 58% higher than last year

For the month of February, the German Pellets Institute (DEPI) identified a pellet price of €373.8 per tonne (purchase of 6 tonnes). Compared to January, a 2% rise was recorded. Year on year, the price saw a 58% increase.

Regionally, wood pellets are cheapest in the south of the country (€362.3/t). In central Germany, they cost €383.9 per tonne according to the DEPI, and in the north and east, buyers pay €389.2 per tonne in February.
