Pellet prices up in September

In Austria, the neutral pellet price (VAT excluded, without transport and handling costs) is at an average of €172.1/t in September. Compared to the previous month, it rose by €3.6/t or 2.14%. In September 2020, pellets cost €170.3/t in Austria.

In Germany, the neutral September price also increased compared to August, by €3.3/t to €162.4/t. Compared to the same month of last year (September 2020: €156/t), the pellet price is up by €6.4/t or 4.1%.

In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price is at €203.6/t this month (+€3/t compared to August). When looking at the ten-year average of the neutral pellet price, which is less affected by currency fluctuations, pellets cost €194.5/t in September. This corresponds to a month-on-month increase of €4.3/t. Compared to September 2020, however, prices fell by €5.7/t and €2.7/t, respectively.
