Austrian pellets prices are "on a roll"

The neutralized German pellets price shows a plus of 2.4% compared to the previous month at a level of € 172.7/t (€+4.1/t). Considering last year's price level, the German market saw the most moderate growth rate. It gained 3.9% which is € 6.5/t.

The Swiss market situation has been quite dependent on the exchange rate since January. Looking at the average exchange rate of the past ten years, the neutralized value for pellets rose by 5.3% or € 9.7/t compared to the previous month. At the current exchange rate, the pellets price is at € 208/t (€ +1.8/t; +0.9%). Compared to the previous year and taking the current exchange rate into account, a strong decline can be observed (-8.4%; € -18.98). Factoring in the average exchange rate, the value for one ton however shows a plus of 4.4% (€ 8.19).

The Austrian pellets price for January is € 180.8/t. This is not even the highest, but constitutes the strongest increases in comparison to the previous month and year.
