Italy: 160 million wooden pallets in circulation
Italian market for wooden packaging to grow again this year
In 2024, around 160 million wooden pallets were in circulation on the Italian market. While new pallets clearly dominate the market, used ones remain important as well. Of the total number of pallets, 100 million were new and 60 million were used. In 2024, Italy produced approximately 84 million new pallets, 77 million of which remained in the Italian market, while 7 million were exported. Additionally, 22.9 million pallets were imported.
