Sawdust price index at last year’s level

In March 2025, the sawdust price index jumped to the level recorded in the same month of last year, while the price index for wood chips remained below the level of March 2024.

With a month-on-month increase of 15 percentage points to 409% (base: January 2001 = 100%), the sawdust price index returned to last year’s level in March.

Meanwhile, the Austrian Timber Industry Association reports a price index of 208% for wood chips. Thus, the index value remained at the level recorded in February, but decreased by 25 points compared to March 2024.
