According to the letter sent out by Böhm, negotiations with the potential buyers are “well advanced”. It goes on to state that the purchase agreements “mainly concern the wood division of the Ziegler Group”. “We assume that we will be able to report the successful sale of the first companies to you (note: the employees) by the end of the month.”
Since the letter mentions “purchase agreements”, the Ziegler’s subsidiaries will likely be sold separately or in smaller groups. In addition to a financial investor, well-known Central European timber companies are said to be among the interested parties.
