Maschinenbau Grissemann was established 59 years ago. For 40 years now, the traditional Austrian company has been developing and manufacturing machines for use in the glued timber construction and carpentry sectors in its factory in Kufstein. In addition to high-performance circular saws, the product portfolio also includes machines for repairing defects in the wood, patch milling machines and resin gall milling machines. The company also manufactures planers and planing mill cutters for removing protruding material.
Long service life and reinforced feed

The first self-propelled ZH700 circular saw with a maximum cutting depth of 25 cm was launched on the market in 1983. At the time, it was an outstanding innovation.
Given the larger dimensions of glued timber beams and more demanding safety requirements, the two-man ZH700 circular saw was further developed into the ZH 780. In addition to a reinforced eightfold saw gear and a reinforced feed gear, the entire structure of the circular saw was designed for precision and a long service life. The new ZH 780 is characterized by the following impressive data:
- Maximum cutting depth: 28.5 cm
- Miter cuts with 0 to 45° angles
- Automatic feed at 3.5 m/min
- Laser marking for precise cutting and alignment

The operation of the ZH 780 is very simple, as Maschinenbau Grissemann emphasizes. The machine is moved to the glued timber beam using the moveable table and then adjusted to the height of the glulam beam. Next, the machine is aligned using the marking laser, and the table is fixed in place. The saw then moves from the table to the glued timber beam and back to the table once the cut is made. The result is a perfect cut, regardless of the length of the glued timber beam.
