Price pressure increases as upswing has yet to materialize

Since the hoped-for upswing after Easter failed to materialize, many set their hopes on Pentecost – in vain. Due to numerous holidays and long weekends, it is difficult to paint a clear picture of the situation facing the timber industry in May. What can be said, though, is that many market participants were disappointed with sales in that month.
