In the first eleven months of 2025, Sweden exported almost 12.7 million m³ of softwood sawn timber and planed timber. Compared to the same period last year, there is a slight increase of just over 1% or 172,000 m³.
To the main market, Great Britain, Sweden delivered 2.52 million m³ of softwood sawn timber by the end of November 2025, 2% less than in the previous year. There were also declines to Egypt (–9% to 1.15 million m³), the Netherlands (–2% to 990,000 m³), Denmark (–3% to 746,000 m³) and Japan (–9% to 693,000 m³).
However, there was significant year-on-year growth in the USA: +22% to just under 1.2 million m³. At 735,000 m³ (+1%), Sweden exported slightly more softwood sawn timber to Germany than in the same period in 2024. Deliveries to Poland (+12% to 435,000 m³) and Morocco (+24% to 407,000 m³) also increased.
