Destatis reports that hardwood lumber production (beech and oak) in Germany totaled 200,000 m³ in the third quarter of 2025, and has thus reached a level similar to that of the first quarter of 2025. Compared to the third quarter of 2024, production output grew by 8%.
In the first three quarters of 2025, a total of 623,000 m³ of hardwood lumber was produced in Germany. This means that output increased by 3%, or around 20,000 m³, compared to the period January to September 2024.
