German sawmill industry with growing sales

In November 2025, the German sawmill industry saw its sales decrease compared to the previous month. Year on year, however, sales increased slightly. Cumulative sales generated between January and November 2025 also grew year on year.

According to Destatis, the German sawmill industry generated sales of around €512.6 million in November 2025. Compared to October, this corresponds to a decrease of 8%, or nearly €45 million. Year on year (November 2024: €502.2 million), sales grew slightly by 2%, or €10 million.

In the first eleven months, sales amounted to €5.81 billion. This was almost 4%, or €202 million, more than what was generated in the period January to November 2024 (€5.61 billion).
