In November 2024, the German sawmill industry generated €516 million in sales, recording a month-on-month decrease of 3%, as figures published by Destatis show. When you take a look at previous years, this is a normal development, though. Compared to November 2023 (€513 million), sales grew slightly by 0.5%.
From January to November 2024, sales totaled €5.6 million and were thus down by around €400 million compared to the same period of 2023. Back then, slightly over €6 billion in sales were generated.
