Vida is growing in Sweden

Swedish Vida group, which is part of the Canfor corporation, one of the world’s biggest timber groups, has announced that it will acquire a sawmill in Ingarp, Sweden.

Vida will acquire the sawmill for a price of SEK 50 million (€4.3 million) from Ingarp Träskydd. The sawmill has a current annual production output of 50 million bft (nominally around 120,000 m³/year), but has the potential for an expansion to 100 million bft a year (nominally approx. 240,000 m³/year) according to Vida. The group expects that the closing of the transaction will take place in October.
