According to Madison’s Lumber Reporter, 2-by-4 (Western SPF, KD, #2 & better) only cost US-$426/1,000 bft on August 4, i.e. US-$32/1,000 bft less than in the week before. Converted into euros and actual size, European exporters saw a decrease of €20/m³ (delivered to the Great Lakes region) compared to the end of July and thus only earned €250/m³ as of August 4. Year on year, the price fell by €134/m³.
