Production curtailment in North America

According to West Fraser, the wildfires in British Columbia, a decrease in orders for wood products, the limited availability of adhesives for panel production, transport interruptions and the general situation regarding stock levels and raw material supply are the main reasons for the production curtailment in the third quarter.

West Fraser is the world’s biggest sawmill group with more than 60 production sites in Canada, the US and Europe. The company produces lumber, engineered wood (OSB, LVL, MDF, plywood and fiberboards), pulp, paper for newspapers, woodchips and other residual materials and generates renewable energy.
