This month, Japanese manufacturer of wood and ceramic building materials Noda Corp. is will start up a new plywood plant in the Fujikawa business area in Fuji City, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. After the company has completed the JAS certification process it plans to achieve an output of up to 6,000 m³ by the end of November, lesprom.com cites ITTO reports. Total investment is about 6 billion yen (€46.7 million).

Noda will use this plywood as floor base of composite flooring. The plant will also manufacture structural and shuttering panels. Noda decided to build the plant after Shizuoka prefecture promised to supply sufficient local cypress logs so this plant is intended to use raw material exclusively from domestic sources.
