In 2025, 57.3 million m³ of log wood were harvested in Germany, according to preliminary data published by Destatis. That is 6.4% or 3.9 million m³ less than in 2024 (61.2 million m³). Last year, both total logging and the volume of damaged wood reached levels that were comparable to those before the years 2018 to 2023.
