In April, log traders started shipping storm-damaged wood from Irish ports to Scandinavia and Central Europe. The above-mentioned volumes were damaged by storms Darragh on December 6 and Éowyn on January 24. The affected areas are located primarily in the west and north of the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland. In addition to sea transport by bulk carriers across the North and Baltic Seas, traders confirm the first container shipments to Asian markets.
