In June, the oak log price index fell by 2.3 percentage points month on month to 125.7%. As for beech log wood, a decrease of 1.7 points to 105.8% was recorded. Compared to June 2021, the index value for oak fell by 10.6 percentage points (June 2021: 115.1%), while that of beech rose by 5.4 points (100.4%)
The index of spruce cuttings, B, was at 117.6% in June, and thus 3.3 percentage points higher than in May and 33.6 points higher than in June 2021 (84%). As for spruce logs, Destatis identified the same producer price index value as in May, that is 103.8%. In June 2021, the index was at 75.6%, thus recording a year-on-year increase of 28.2 percentage points.
