At its sawmill in Kerkingen/DE, Ladenburger has been operating a 34-MW biomass-powered cogeneration plant since April 2025. The plant was built and installed by Urbas, Völkermarkt/AT. It is the largest single boiler plant from the Carinthian energy technology specialist and supplies electricity and heat to the sawmill, processing plant, central drying facility and the pellet mill at the integrated site.
