Austrian pellet price still close to the €300-mark

In January 2025, buyers pay €299/t for 6 t of wood pellets in Austria and thus 1.4% more than in the previous month.

According to proPellets Austria, the pellet price was at €350.6/t in January 2024. Thus, it fell by 15% in the past twelve months. The pellet price index PPI06 is currently at 167.98. The average fee for blowing in wood pellets is €48 in January 2025.

In western Austria, buyers pay €315.6/t in January. In the north and east of the country, wood pellets cost €298.9/t and in the south, they are traded at €293.9/t. For 17 t of loose pellets, proPellets Austria reports a price of €256.6/t this month.
