The German Pellet Institute (DEPI) reports an average price of €286.04/t for 6 t of loose, ENplus-A1-quality pellets in the month of December. Thus, the pellet price has increased by around 2.5% compared to November (€279.12/t) and October (€279.26/t). However, it remains well below last year’s level (December 2023: €329.25/t).
For a commercial quantity of 26 t, the average per-tonne price is €270.31 in Germany. In November, the price was at €262.18/t and thus 3% lower. Compared to December 2023 (€314.25/t), it fell by 14%.
According to the DEPI, the following regional prices are charged for a purchase quantity of 6 t: €280.37/t in the south, €284.09/t in central Germany and €298.81/t in the north and east of the country. For 26 t of wood pellets, buyers pay €264.99/t in the south, €270.05/t in central Germany and €283.82/t in the north and east.
