Pellet price halved compared to 2022

In Austria, the price for six tonnes of wood pellets increased by 1% month on month to €292/t.

In November 2023, customers paid €377/t (-23%) according to proPellets Austria. In 2022, wood pellets cost €606/t (-52%). One household saves €2,071 per year when using wood pellets instead of natural gas. The pellet price index PPI06 is at 164.48 this month.

In November, buyers pay €294.6/t in the west of Austria, €293.6/t in the north and east, and €290.6/t in the south of the country. 17 tonnes of loose pellets cost €252.22/t according to proPellets Austria.
