Swiss pellet price keeps rising

The Swiss pellet price has increased for the fourth consecutive month, reaching CHF 426.6/t (€455.4/t) in October, as propellets.ch reports.

In September, pellets still cost CHF 413.3/t in Switzerland. Month on month, the price has thus risen by 3%. Compared to the lowest price of this year, i.e. CHF 395.8/t (€422.3/t) recorded in June, the price increased by 8%. In October 2023, buyers paid CHF 499.4/t (€532.9/t) according to the Swiss Pellets Association. Year on year, the price fell by 15% or CHF 72.6/t.

The price for a purchase quantity of 3 tonnes rose by 3% month on month to CHF 441.1/t (€470.7/t) in October. A 4% increase, from CHF 381.1/t in September to CHF 395.1/t this month, was recorded in the price for 17 tonnes of wood pellets.
