In November, neutralized pellets prices (i.e. prices excluding VAT and transport costs) showed a slight increase in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region) compared to the previous month. In Austria, pellets are being sold for € 172.7/t (+0.5%), in Germany for € 161.6/t (+0.8%) and in Switzerland for € 226.2/t (+0.4%).
Compared to the same period last year however, the prices in Austria dropped by 6.5% and in Germany by 6.3%. In Switzerland on the other hand, an increase by 2.9% could be observed.
Taking the average exchange rate for the Swiss franc in the past ten years into consideration, the prices for pellets in Switzerland rose 1.5% to € 180.1/t in October compared to last year.
Compared to the same period last year however, the prices in Austria dropped by 6.5% and in Germany by 6.3%. In Switzerland on the other hand, an increase by 2.9% could be observed.
