Article by Günther Jauk (translated by Eva Guzely) | 01.07.2020 - 09:32

From January to April, Italy’s glulam and CLT imports were down by 29% year on year. In this period, volumes from all important supplying countries decreased considerably. Imports from Austria fell by 29% to 59,000 m³, those from Russia saw a 42% decline reaching a total of 6,500 m³.

There was a particularly sharp decline in April. In 2019, Italy imported 32,500 m³. This year, only 11,400 m³, i.e. nearly two thirds less, were bought.
