From January to October 2019, Austrian glulam and CLT exports amounted to 1.7 million m³. Compared to the same period of the previous year, this corresponds to an increase of 5%. While exports to Italy remained nearly stable (591,000 m²; +1%), those to Germany (413,000 m³; +13%) and France (135,000 m³; +13%) grew considerably.
Sales in Switzerland (135,000 m³; +5%), Japan (121,000 m³; +8%) and Spain (71,000 m³; +6%) increased as well. Data are collected by Statistik Austria. In our Datacube, you can find a detailed overview of all export markets as well as historical data.
