The European production of natural fiber-reinforced plastic granulates is expected to amount to 80,000 t in the current year, as the Cologne-based nova-Institut reports. This means that the production volume tripled since 2012. Also, further growth is anticipated due to new formulations and resulting possibilities for application such as loudspeaker housings or antibacterial door handles. The industry will be meeting between 6th and 7th of December in Cologne: 300 experts from 30 different countries are expected to participate.
