Germany chipboard exports on last year's level

The exports of the German wood-based product manufacturers are similar to last year (+0.1%). In the first four months of 2014, 761.000 m³ chipboards and OSB were exported. The same period this year saw 762,000 m³ exported.

Significantly more German wood-based panels were sold to the Netherlands (79,000 m³, +39%) and Italy (28,000 m³, +29%). Austria imported 72,000 m³ or 16% less wood-based panels from Germany than in 2014. Destatis recorded decreases in exports to France (-6%), Sweden (-32%), Belgium (-14%) and the Czech Republic (-19%).
