Engineered forest products provider Martco of Louisiana has announced plans to set up a state-of-the-art OSB facility in Corrigan, Texas, timberprocessing.com reports. With construction activity scheduled to commence this summer, the plant is expected to employ 165 by fall 2017 when it is anticipated to start up.
Throughout the Southern states of Louisiana and Alabama, Martco already operates a number of facilities producing OSB, plywood and lumber with a total workforce of 1,100.
In the first quarter of 2024, West Fraser of Vancouver/CA generated US-$1.6 billion (€1.5 billion) in sales and reported earnings of US-$35 million (€32.7 million).
