Between January and June 2018, Germany issued 168,500 construction permits for apartments, Destatis surveyed.

This is 0.6% or 960 construction permits for apartments less than in the same period last year. Without consideration of apartments in dormitories, however, the number of construction permits gained 1.8% totaling 161,800.
