Article by Eva Guzely | 29.06.2022 - 16:30

According to Destatis, 6.73 million m³ of softwood lumber and planed timber were produced in the first quarter, making it the best first quarter on record. Year on year, production grew by 3.4%, while an increase of 10.9% was recorded compared to the first three months of 2020.

So far, there has only been one quarter in which German sawmills produced more softwood lumber, i.e. 6.87 million m³ in the months from April to June 2021.
