In just one week, the price of 2-by-4 lumber (Western SPF, KD, #2 and better) in the U.S. dropped another US$100/1000 bft to stand at US$439/1000 bft in calendar week 32. Converted to Euros and actual size, this represents a decrease of €55 to €241/m3.
Compared to the peak in May at 872 €/m3, the price fell by 631 €/m3 (123 €/m3 compared to the same period last year). However, if we look at the ten-year average from 2011 to 2020, we see exactly the same value: 241 €/m3.
