Turnover decreased significantly in June

In June, Germany’s sawmill industry saw a marked decreased in turnover compared to the same month of 2018. In the first six months, turnover has remained stable compared to last year.

In June, Germany’s sawmill industry generated a turnover of about 393 million €. Compared to June 2018 (475.2 million €), turnover thus fell by 17.3%. Compared to May (441.15 million €), the industry registered a decrease of almost 11%.

In the first six months of 2019, turnover reached a total of 2.441 billion €. Compared to the first half year of 2018, it remained stable (2.431 billion €; +0.4%), whereas it grew by 9% compared to the same period of 2017.
