November sales amounted to €450.5 million, as Destatis reports. Compared to the same month in 2017, this is an increase of €22.5 million or 5.3%. In November 2016, the total turnover was € 363 million. In 2017 and 2018, the highest November sales values ever were yielded. Since January 2005 (when Timber-Online records began), the value for that month has never before exceeded the €400 million mark. Usually, the value ranged between €340 and 360 million, in the economically weaker years of 2008 and 2009 it was €255 and 265 million respectively.
Between January and November, the German sawmill industry yielded a revenue of €4.64 billion. Compared to the same period of the previous year, this is an increase of 8.7% (2017: €4.27 billion).
