"The United States and Europe were extremely strong markets. In the 3Q, there was some insecurity in several markets where especially the Chinese market was affected by declining deliveries and sinking prices. However, we see this as a temporary setback since consumption increased significantly. Also deliveries to Egypt saw a decline which is primarily due to the shortage in foreign currency. Other markets, however, compensated this", Hannele Arvonen, president and CEO at Setra, explains.
Setra is currently preparing for the launch of cutting fire-damaged wood in the factory in Färila.
The company is strengthening the further processing line in Långshyttan. The production of components for doors and windows will start in October, the launch of the CLT production is due in the first half of 2020.
