The growth rate for 2-by-4 was "unprecedented": US-$40/1000 bft was last week's price increase. This makes for at least ten weekly all-time highs in a row.
The euro underwent a slight weakening (us_$1.18/€) which makes the weekly price surge even more significant. This week, the price is almost €28/m³ higher than in the week before. European suppliers currently receive €393/m³ free Great Lakes region for 2-by-4 which is an impressive €120/m³ more than last year. The price is rapidly approahcing the €400/m³ mark.
