US softwood lumber price on record levels

Plus 65 euros compared to last year, plus 12 euros within one week

Within only one week, 2-by-4 free Great Lakes region gained US-$ 25. With this, the assortment was sold for US-$ 582/1000 bft - the highest level on Timber-Online record.

Even more impressive is the growth in euros. Despite a weak US dollar exchange rate of just under US-$ 1.23/, European suppliers currently receive € 307/m³. This is € 66/m³ more than last year, and € 12/m³ more than in the previous week.  Even the experts at Random Lengths are baffled about the boom in demand at this time of the year. Price increases like this are unprecedented.
