US prices are stable

Random Lengths reports persistently sound demand on the US softwood lumber market up until Christmas. 2-by-4 dropped to a level of US-$ 529/1000 bft (US-$ 1 less) compared to the previous week.

With a slightly strengthened euro (US-$ 1.29/m³), European suppliers most recently received € 287/m³ (free Great Lakes region). This is € 2.5/m³ less than in mid-December. Compared to the previous year, however, the price level is still € 34.8/m³ higher.
