Economic expectations remain on low level

The new value of Germany's situation indicator for July is -1.1 points. "Especially the continuation of the negative trend with regards to order intake of the German industry probably confirms the economic pessimism of financial market experts," ZEW president Prof. Achim Wambach comments.

The ZEW economic expectation for the eurozone is -20.3 points (-0.1 points compared to the previous month). Expectations of financial market experts for the economic development in the eurozone are slightly deteriorating. The indicator for the current economic situation in the euro area drops by 6.9 points resulting in a current level of -10.6 points.
