The Ifo Indicator for the global economic climate reached the record level (since the fall of 2007) of 26 points in the 1Q. Economic situation and business expectations improved significantly in all regions around the world. The United States, the EU and Asian emerging and developing countries experienced a remarkably strong upswing, the institute reports. Latin America's assessment of the situation is extraordinarily good, while expectations deteriorated slightly.
In the coming six months, increases of interest rates and prices and an expasion of global trade are to be expected.
