Roundwood imports increased

The imports of roundwood in April amounted to 980,00 0m³. Compared to the previous year, imports between January and April gained 22% to a total of 3.6 million m³.

Altogether, wood and wood by-products in April yielded €1.08 billion 23% of which were roundwood and 77% pulp production. With €4.4 billion between January and April, roundwood exports reached last year's level. Pine and birch trees accounted for the lion's share of the Finnish cutting volume.
