The main reason for this increase are this summer's forest fires. The reported harvested area increased across all regions. In northern Sweden, the increase was 22% to 7,825 ha. These are the highest figures reported for November ever. In southern Sweden, the area increased by 10% and amounted to 8,920 ha. At county level, the reported harvested area increased in 18 out of 21 counties.

In the first eleven months of the year, 10% more areas were reported than in the same period last year.
