The forest fires in Sweden show no sign of easing off. According to experts estimates, around 25,000 ha of forest area have been affected by the fires. NASA satellites provide an overview of the situation.

According to a report yesterday evening by Swedish newspaper Upsala Nya Tidning, especially the regions of Gävleborg (8,500 ha), Jämtland (8,500 ha), Dalarna (2,500 ha), and Västernorrland (500 ha) are affected. Another 5,000 ha of smaller fire areas are scattered all over Sweden.
