In this catalogue, FSC demands that Schweighofer extends its due diligence system to the still-standing trunk, implements social and ecological projects that nurture the development of Romanian forests, an independent inspection of cadastral registers and claims of ownership regarding Schweighofer's real estate in Romania, an increase of transparency of the company and with regards to its communication with stakeholders, as well as an intensification of social responsibility and related projects.
Schweighofer is planning on responding and evaluating these conditions. Last year, Schweighofer single-handedly worked developing a tracking tool in the form of an application that enables the tracking of timber suppliers up to the loading process.
Schweighofer also announced that accusations concerning non-compliant log measuring have been proven wrong. The FSC examination report confirmed that not further violations of the FSC guidelines existed.
