Pellets prices dropped further

In May, neutralized pellets prices (excluding VAT, transportation and handling fees) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region) saw another decrease. But only in Austria, the value fell below the level of the same period last year.

In Austria, the neutralized pellets price for May is €171.8/t. With this, the value dropped 1.3% compared to last month as well as the same period last year. In Germany, the price for pellets lost 4.2% compared to April totaling €166.3/t. Compared to May 2018, the price, however, gained 1.3%.

The most significant loss was observed for the Swiss neutralized pellets price. €199.3/t compared to last month is a loss of 5.7%. Compared with the same period in the previous year, the value, however, increased by 3.1%. Considering the average exchange rate for the Swiss franc, the price of one tonne is €189.1.
