Already in mid-May at the Ligna fair, Weinig and Essetre had made an announcement regarding their plans for a future strategic collaboration. On July 17, Weinig’s CEO Gregor Baumbusch and Essetre’s Managing Director Christina Sella announced the closing of the deal. Weinig has acquired 50% of the shares of Essetre, with the goal of further expanding the range of machines for the timber construction industry.
The Sella family will continue to manage the operational business. “We will develop a joint strategy for further collaboration and integrate Essetre into the Weinig service network,” Baumbusch commented.
